CCBE supports the opening of the Judicial Network to the legal professions

The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE), which represents more than 700,000 European lawyers through its members Bars and Law Societies of the European Union and the European Economic Area, supports the opening of the European Judicial Network in civil and commercial matters to the legal professions.

Significant improvement, but further changes necessary in Poland, IBAHRI-CCBE report states

The International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI) and the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) commend the significant efforts made by the Polish Government, since its election in October 2007, to improve the standard of the rule of law in Poland. Notwithstanding this improvement, an IBAHRI-CCBE report published today identifies issues requiring immediate attention to restore the rule of law in Poland fully.

Important French court decision supports lawyers on money laundering reporting
